Easy Fall Leaf Craft

By Jody Lynn Chin November 3, 2011

Here is what you need:

  1. Bright paint of any color from the craft store
  2. White paper, I used copy paper we had at home
  3. Leaves of any size or shape – they just have to be dry for the paint to stick
  4. Paint brushes

This is so simple I remember doing it in school and it keeps the kids busy for awhile.

Just take the leaf and on the backside of it have the kids smear paint all over it, you want to get the whole leaf so you can really see it when you put it on the paper.

Take the painted side and push it down on to the paper. You do not want to smear it around or the leaf will not come out as well.

Then put a paper towel over the top of the leaf and pat it ( so they do not get paint all over their hands). Next pull up the towel and leaf and see what you have.

Let them dry and you have art work to hang on the wall or cut them out to make it look like leaves are falling down the wall.

One more note do not forget to put newspaper down as this can be messy ( I forgot mine the first time- oops)

Have Fun!
