Macaroni Kid Craft: Simple Christmas Tree Snow Scene

A very easy winter craft with supplies you most likely already have on hand!

I am always looking around for a quick and simple craft to do with the kids where I can avoid a trip to the craft store. This week we made a festive tree snow scene from supplies we had laying around the house (and as a bonus it was super easy!). To make your own snow scene, follow the directions below- be sure to share your completed project on the Macaroni Kid Timonium Facebook Page!

Materials Needed:

- Construction Paper: Blue, White, Green, Yellow

- Kids Scissors

- Hole Punch

- Glue Stick

- Brown Washable Marker

Directions:

1. The blue construction paper will be your base, on the white paper draw a curved line about 1/4 of the way up the paper to make the snow. Have your child cut along the line and glue the white paper on to your blue base.

2. On the green paper, draw three triangles (small, medium and large) with curved bottoms and have your child cut those out. Then you will fold them like an accordion and gently unfold. Glue down the edges to keep the folds- place the largest size on the bottom, the medium sized in the middle and the small size to make the top of the tree.

3. Draw a star on the yellow paper and cut this out. Have your child glue it on top of the tree.

4. Take a brown marker to color in the stump of the tree.

5. Lastly, take the hole punch and cut out a bunch of holes in the left over white paper, this will be your snow! Have your child glue these down.
