The Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum offers as a holiday gift for the region its annual Free Holiday Plane & Train Garden with free admission throughout the season. Visit its new location for this year at 2323 Eastern Blvd to experience the joy of this holiday tradition when exploring the skillfully crafted displays created by talented artists who have been producing engaging holiday train gardens for over a decade. While the Garden will recall memories for adults of their childhood train gardens, it will generate new memories for children as they enjoy a journey on the rails in their imaginations. The Museum’s new garden displays this year are the Middle River Lighted Boat with 12 lighted boats, the 150 year old St Stephens AME Church, the Halloween Trunk or Treat at Bengies Drive-In, the Marshy Point Nature Center Fall Festival featuring 16 local vendors, Middle River’s landmark restaurant The Landing Strip, Martin State Airport, Christmas at Downtown Baltimore with the Hochschild Kohn Holiday Parade, Miracle on 34th Street, Fort McHenry and a few more surprises. This year’s Aviation Mountain pays tribute to aviation pioneers Rodney Jones, Rosie the Riveter, Mae Jamison and Chuck Yeager.
The Holiday Garden is moving to a larger venue in Middle River for this year at 2323 Eastern Blvd, (office building at Eastern Blvd and the historic Martin Blvd cloverleaf) a space where visitors can explore exhibits on aviation history, including a full size model of a Martin MS-1, an experimental Navy scout biplane assembled by Museum volunteers, also an on-site Museum Gift Shop where visitors can do their holiday shopping for aviation enthusiasts or the very young pilots of the future.
Although admission is free, there is a sign-in process for which adults will need to show their IDs. Families looking to expedite the wait of on-site registration can pre-register at www.mdairmuseum.org.

This ninth season of the Holiday Plane and Train Garden is geared for the young and young at heart. It is a joyous experience not to miss as attending solo, as part of a group, or with a family will launch the holiday season with smiles and good cheer.
